Each year, we urge you to review your Medicare coverage to ensure it’s still the right plan for you. Your needs may have changed, and the Medicare plan you’re on may have changed. Either way, it’s smart to review your plan to ensure you’re on the best plan for you.
This is the time of the year to enroll in or switch your Medicare Advantage or Part D Prescription Drug plans. Make sure you don’t miss this deadline.
Medicare Open Enrollment, or what is often called the Annual Election Period, is: Oct. 15 through Dec. 7, 2019
This is the time for you to:
• Review Medicare plan changes for 2020
• Evaluate your Medicare plan’s co-pay and deductible changes for 2020
• Switch your Medicare coverage plan. For example, anyone with Original Medicare can switch to a Medicare Advantage plan or vice versa
• Enroll in or switch to a new Medicare Advantage or Part D Prescription Drug plan
Any changes to your Medicare Advantage or Part D plan will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2020.
